As-salamu alaykum everyone, I hope you are doing well. Today is Monday, July, um and not real really a lot of movement if you look at crypto that's where the uh most of the movement was uh solana's up eight percent uh pudgy penguins up close to twenty percent uh dogecoin had a monster weekend it's now at twenty seven cents all of a sudden back in business All right, so in this live, I'm going to tell you about Ethereum, talk about Ethereum, what's going on with Ethereum, why has it rebounded in such a big way. By the way, if you enjoy these lives, do leave a like, really appreciate that. This is what the market looked like today. Nothing really, as I mentioned, noteworthy. Pretty flat in waiting for earnings, which kick off in earnest this week. uh if you look at the uh crypto bubbles bubbles um you can see pudgy penguin uh biggest bubble on in this particular view which is good for us because we own that in our portfolio so is it is there a new life as have circumstances written a new life for ethereum it's up fifty four percent in the past month and I saw on discord uh some members were asking me to take a look at it again First, at least in this live, let me go over what the heck happened here. Why is it pumping as much as it is? And if you look at Ethereum's dominance, even with relation to Bitcoin, so Bitcoin's dominance Ethereum's percentage of the entire crypto pie basically bottomed out in April at around seven percent. It's now back up to eleven percent. And you can see in relation to Bitcoin, the Bitcoin dominance dropped from sixty one percent to fifty nine percent in just a few weeks. So. What's attractive about Ethereum? Why are institutions specifically hoovering up Ethereum. Well, three to five percent yield from staking is not bad, especially when you consider that we are approaching a monetary policy that will likely see some cuts in interest rates. So the yields from U.S. Treasuries are set to fall. And so if you're looking to earn some income, Ethereum staking seems like a pretty decent choice especially considering the reliability of the ethereum network over many years and the reliability of this yield since it switched the staking in so That's one reason. The second reason, more near term, is the Genius Act signed into law. And the Genius Act basically deals with crypto generally, but stable coins specifically. And it does mention the following. So it regulates stable coin issuance, basically saying that you got to have one-to-one backing with high quality assets. That means either cash or US treasuries. It also provides some consumer protections. So it mandates reserve transparency, monthly audits, priority repayment for stablecoin holders in case of issuer bankruptcy to safeguard investors. And it allows banks and fintechs and other entities to issue their own stablecoins, which is going to be very bullish for the space. Once you have all these competing companies basically racing one another to see whose stablecoins gain the most traction. It's going to foster innovation and mainstream adoption in digital payments. the advantage of stablecoins is essentially the quickness of a settlement and liquidity and basically availability, twenty four seven. And so it is a superior product to what's available right now. And it's very likely that, you know, finance transitions in many of its parts to be on the blockchain. It makes a lot of sense. Now, why Ethereum is is really one of the main beneficiaries from this new legislation is that ethereum including base they have the number one spot in terms of volume of stablecoin transactions and I am including base because it's built on ethereum But also in terms of just the total value locked of stablecoins on Ethereum, it's around seventy percent of the total supply of stablecoins. So. Ethereum is, and you can argue what the reason is, whether it's because the blockchain has such a long history of uptime with no downtime, whereas Solana has had periods of essentially crashing and the network went down and they quickly got it up again. That being said, banks and institutions, when they look at this, they want reliability. Ethereum beats Solana in terms of reliability, although it doesn't beat Solana in terms of transaction cost and transaction speed, that's for sure. And also, Ethereum does have first mover advantage. And as I mentioned, seventy percent of stablecoins are on Ethereum. And so it does have network effects and it's hard to transition. Once you have that number one spot, it's hard to transition to another chain, even if it's objectively better. And not to mention the three to five percent yield on staking Ethereum that I mentioned may go up if the activity on the Ethereum blockchain increases substantially. And perhaps it does with the proliferation of stablecoin usage. And therefore, I do think that there is merit to Ethereum's recent run. And while I'm not necessarily jumping on Ethereum at this particular point, it is something that I will keep an eye on for sure, because I do believe that, as I mentioned, there is some merit to the recent run and we'll have to see how this space evolves. What is I mean, crypto is very fast moving. What is true for many months or years can change with a simple piece of legislation. And so I think this is sort of the beginning of of pif taking ethereum a bit more seriously after having written it off because of its lagging solana in so many ways so with that being said let's go to your questions very quickly brother muhammad amr farooq nice to see you brother it's good to see that members taking profits with patients guided from you oh thank you brother I appreciate you mentioning that JazakAllah for your support. It's my pleasure. Can you shed some light on Stoctic MP? Perhaps, inshallah. And I believe that's a, is that the company that did a big deal with the Department of Defense for rare earth materials? I believe it may be. Perhaps I'll take a look at it in a future episode. Hey, Rashad. Ethereum moved. Congratulations. I'm so happy for you. Hamoos, I believe. Assalamualaikum. Do you think AMD will have its share run in the market at some point? It does seem to have started running as of late. So, you know, I think it'll do well. The question you have to ask is how well will it do relative to other players, specifically NVIDIA? salam alaikum new membership join today hey eagle mma welcome it's awesome to have you uh thanks for sharing for saying that hamid says salam can any plan change for iron and hymns also any major concern for lfmd after his pullback no I wanted to pull back more for lfmd I mean uh why not we took profits I hope it pulls back more. I don't see any material change in the company itself. For Iron and HIMS, I mean, I'm so happy for all of the PIF members who have taken some really generous profits from Iron. Regarding HIMS, I'm totally open to taking another look at it, seeing if my comfort level has changed. But if it hasn't changed, I think there are other plays that are similar. Again, just as a reminder, Hems, I mean, the marketing for it kind of seemed a bit too progressive for my comfort. But I'm happy to take another look at it. I do really like the fact that the CEO has Palestinian ancestry and not like... some others who read success and then forget about their roots. It seems like he hasn't forgotten and he has had a number of pretty brave stances on the issue of Palestine. So I'd like to support someone, but I don't invest as, I keep charity and support and investing separately. But I do have soft spots for hymns, if you will. So I'm not against looking at it again. As it relates to iron, to be honest, I'm still at my position. I understand that it's hard to understand and perhaps it may come off as stubbornness, but If I'm being completely honest, it's very hard for me to value the assets the way the market is valuing them, given the the limited visibility that I have to the cash flows that can be generated from these assets. I understand that the market is very bullish about their assets and perhaps rightly so, it's just that I can't see it to the extent that the market is seeing it with regards to future cash flows generated. And that's how I value assets based on the future free cash flow that is generated. And right now it seems like iron is, you know, it's there's a lot of optimism about it, about iron, a lot of glass half full analysis. But the way, you know, the visibility that I have from where I'm standing is limited. And there are other plays that I've moved money to that I have more visibility into. And so even though, you know, it's been running very aggressively, for me, I think this was the right choice. And I'm so happy for people who, you know, took... took profits recently and those who are still holding and inshallah will take even more profits. Any thoughts on Doge for a long-term strategy? Yeah, so I think, you know, Once we reach our take profit price, we'll take some profits and we may leave some in order to... We'll take at least our principal out and then leave some and maybe let it ride. Or if there's a better opportunity out there, we'll switch to that other opportunity. All right, guys. Thank you for tuning in. Leave a like if you enjoyed this live. I will see you tomorrow. Inshallah. Assalamualaikum and peace be upon you all.
